Community and Stakeholder Engagement
The fundamental objective of the SGCP Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plan is open, honest and co operative communication. This will ensure local and regional communities and key stakeholders are engaged
in a proactive manner that facilitates ongoing consultation and participation through provision of accurate and timely environmental, social and economic information. We are committed to cultivating and
supporting relationships with the communities in which we operate.
As the impact assessment for the SGCP progresses, we will be able to provide more detailed information on how the Project may impact on the local area and provide regular update discussions to address any
potential impacts and/or areas of concern. We will undertake extensive consultation to identify and assess the environmental, social and economic interests of the local and regional community.
Members of the community will be encouraged, at all stages of the EIS process, to register their interest in the SGCP which will enable them to be kept updated on Project activities. Please
click here to register to become an interested person and provide your contact details. Please note that employment opportunities are separate from this process and will be
advertised when the Project is due to commence construction.
Traditional Owners
We recognise indigenous Traditional Owner groups as key stakeholders in the proposed SGCP area.
We aim to work collaboratively with these groups to jointly agree on a Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP) about how the project is to be managed so as to avoid or minimise harm to cultural heritage. Cultural heritage surveys will be conducted with Traditional Owners as part of the EIS process to identify indigenous cultural heritage values relating to the project area.
Community Engagement Opportunities

We will hold Community Information Sessions in order to disseminate information and consult with the local community.
We will be holding Community Information Sessions at the Alpha Show to introduce the Project. Local community members are encouraged to visit to find out more about the Project.
